BIO

 

Hi there!

 

I'm Katie, and I'm married to a handsome Greek American, who pretends to enjoy my attempts at Mediterranean dishes, even though they almost always fall short of the real deal. I'm also a teacher who now stays at home with three beloved children who keep me busier than a whole classroom-full of students. Yay, motherhood!

 

When I'm not reading or playing with my kids, I love traveling to new places—either in real life or inside my head. I also enjoy snapping interesting photographs. 

 

I am a SCBWI member and conference goer who writes YA fiction and picture books. I have completed one YA historical, an adoption-themed picture book, and I am currently at work on a YA mystery and a YA fantasy.
